The scenery in the Whites has been spectacular and it’s been nice to be in a position to slow down and enjoy ourselves. We stopped for some leftover breakfast at Zealand Falls Hut, then cruised along some easy trail with ample opportunities for swimming.

Our friends surprised is by hiking in towards us from the next road crossing. It didn’t take much to convince us to head back to their house to enjoy some local microbrews sitting in rocking chairs on their front porch with scenic views of the mountains we would be climbing the next day. Good food and good company. The perfect way to spend a summer evening.
