This was our first day not hiking since we started three months ago. We spent the day in a car, which wasn’t an unwelcome rest, and were able to stop for food anytime we were hungry. We were driving from southern Massachusetts to western Ohio and we took the northern route. We stopped to stretch our legs, not giving the kids any warning of the iconic location we had picked. There were a few more people around than we have grown accustomed to.
The drive was long, but in many ways it was easier than a typical long trip. Being away from automobiles for so long actually allowed us to enjoy the freedom they provide, rather than simply feeling constrained by it.
Hi Kallins! I’ve been following you since you held with Wired earlier. Every time I read your blog I find myself thinking how lucky Cartwheel and Robinhood are to have parents like you. These experiences are going to shape their lives in ways I hope that one day they understand. You guys are awesome and I’m looking forward to reading about the rest of your journey together.
What a special day, rainbows and all!
And it is nice that All In has a new shirt. Will he wear it back on the trail, or is he tied to that green beauty?
Great article! That is the kind of info that should be shared around the internet.
Shame on Google for no longer positioning this put up
higher! Come on over and discuss with my website .
Thanks =)
